The Spartanburg County Public Libraries are sponsoring the 8th Annual Juried Exhibition that will be on display from August 19th – October 20th. The competition is open to artists, 18 and over, professional or amateur, who reside in North Carolina or South Carolina. All work must be original and created within the past 5 years and not previously shown at the library.
Zane Logan, Instructor of Photography at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville, South Carolina, will serve as juror for this year's exhibition.
Cash and purchase awards exceeding $2,600.00 will be presented in this year's exhibition. Entries may be submitted through our online entry form that will open May 10th and continue through June 16th.
Zane Logan was born in Pickens, South Carolina. He earned his BFA from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2007 and his MFA from Clemson University in 2012. He is an Instructor of Photography at the Fine Arts Center in Greenville, South Carolina. His work has been exhibited internationally and throughout the United States in both solo and group shows, including at the Columbia Museum of Art, the Riverworks Gallery, the Redux Contemporary Art Center, and the PhotoPlace Gallery, amongst others. He is currently the Southeast chapter chair for the Society for Photographic Education, and lives in Inman, South Carolina.
Entry Fee: Early Bird (May 10 - May 30): $20.00; May 31 - June 16: $30.00. Payment is required at time of submission (PayPal) or within (2) days of submission (In Person). In person payment can be made via check, money order or credit card by visiting the Administration Office (Monday - Friday; 10:00am - 5:00pm) at the Headquarters Library.
